Precious Moments

The past few nights our precious little girl, Addison, has been waking up crying in the middle of the night and we don't really know why ... all we can think of is that she is cutting more teeth. Usually when I am awakened by her crys I think to myself ... I'm so tired and I don't want to get up, hopefully she will go back to sleep in a few seconds. This hasn't been the case these past few nights. As I was holding her in my arms and rocking her back to sleep during the wee hours of the night, I thought .. Why am I being so selfish in wanting more sleep when I might not be able to hold her and cuddle with her much longer because she is growing up so fast and will not need me or want me to hold and cuddle with her anymore. It was in that moment that I started to cherish all the times that I have held her and hopefully will be able to hold and cuddle with her many more times before she gets too big to cuddle!

Speaking of getting big .. Addison went for her 9 month check-up today and she now weighs 20 lbs. 2 oz. and is 27 3/4 inches long! I can't believe how fast she has grown. She has starting crawling with her tummy off the ground now and is trying to pull up on everything! She is also allowed to eat table foods now so no more buying baby food! Hopefully we will have a little extra money in the pocket now that she can eat whatever we eat for the most part.

Easter is coming soon and we need to find a dress! If anybody knows of any specialty shops or stores that sell very pretty smocked dresses for girls in the Auburn/Opelika or surrounding area, please let me know! I am having a hard time finding a dress that I like and don't know where else to look. I know this part of my blog seems random, but I wanted to check and see where other moms were getting smocked dresses!

New Year, New Things

Happy New Year!! I know I'm a little late in the month to be saying this, but better late than never! The new year has brought new opportunities for our family .. new job, new church, new interactions and so far it has been a good year for our family.

Addison will turn 9 months on the 18th of this month and I can't believe how fast she is growing up! Some new things that she has accomplished so far is pulling up on everything! She is now crawling around with her belly off the ground ... hands and knees only. Addison keeps on babbling up a strom and loves to say the word "Hey" to everybody and anybody ... guess she's gonna be like her Daddy and not meet a stranger! Addison is also getting very close to walking. She got this little baby stroller for Christmas and loves pushing it all over the house and she has gotten really good at the balance and pushing thing.

We have also started going to daycare 3 days a week. This past week was Addison's first week at daycare and she did great! She loves playing with the other children in her class and gets along with them real well. Her teachers are Mrs. Barbie and Mrs. Sam and they take real good care of my baby while I'm helping out in the 4-year-old class at the same daycare/preschool. I only work 3 days a week and get to be back at home by 1pm everyday that I work so this schedule seems to be working out great for us for now! I'm glad that Addison is getting the opportunity to interact with other children her age so she will learn how to play nice and share toys with others.

Another new thing in our lives is a new church. We were happy with our old/current church, but we felt bad for Addison because she did not have any friends her age to play with and we felt that she needed others to play with that were closer in age to her. We decided to start visiting around at other churches and the first one we have visited has turned out to be a great one for us. There are several children for Addison to play with and we have young couples to interact with as well. We have not made any definite decisions yet, but we are enjoying what is happening for now.

Sorry for the long post, but I felt it was time for some updates on the Earle Family. I hope those who are reading my blog are enjoying it and I would love to hear some feedback or comments about the blog. I'm still new to this blogging and could use comments!

I don't have any pictures of Addison at school, but I do have a few recent photos that I will post.
